Pursuant to State Statute, the Board of County Commissioners does not approve or deny an Annexation Impact Report. The Report provided by the City of Colorado Springs notifies the County of the annexation request and describes potential impacts in very general terms. The 109 acres are currently zoned RS-5000 (Residential Suburban) and F-5 (Forestry). The properties are located south of Cheyenne Mountain State Park and west of U.S Highway 115.
