The Security and Widefield Water Districts drinking water has been contaminated with perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) that exceed the US EPA Health Advisory Level. In order to remove the contaminates new water treatment systems will be constructed. The new treatment systems will be completed as part of a CERCLA (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act) project through the Army Corps. of Engineers. The United States Air Force and the Army Corps. of Engineers would like to provide the Board of County Commissioners with an overview of the proposed project as a report item.

Pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(b), (e), and (f), the County Attorney’s Office is requesting an Executive Session regarding the following matters pertaining to the contract for the County Administrator and the County Administration structure, to include but not limited to, departments and personnel, to include:
1. Conference with the County Attorney’s Office for the purpose of receiving legal advice on specific legal questions;
2. Determining positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations; developing strategy for negotiations; and instructing negotiators; and
3. Personnel matter pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(f)(I).
